Payin' too much for a cell phone? Check out Virgin Mobile.

I tried Virgin Mobile because my Verizon Wireless phone often got 0 bars where I live. The Virgin Mobile network is able to get 2 bars or more. This is in a valley surrounded by hills.

I also had 3 phones from Bell Atlantic/Verizon Wireless break. Not reassuring for something as important as a phone.

Instead of paying about $25-40 per month for a phone, you can get your bill down to as low as $20 for 3 months if you're not using it much. If you just want a phone for emergencies, or a second phone, this might work out fine.

I has occasion to call customer service, and the woman has very courteous and took care of the issue professionally and promptly.

Virgin Mobile won an award from JD Power as best overall prepaid carrier. They ranked highest in overall customer. satisfaction.

Virgin Mobile has several model phones, so you should be able to find one you like. I tried a Kyocera KIO Royale. I found the sound clarity to be better than what I'd been using.

There are many products and services that are increasing in price. They can really "nickel and dime" you to the point of affecting your overall financial picture. We tend not to notice how creeping inflation is hurting us.

Virgin Mobile has proven to be a tremendous value, and is highly recommended.

Note: Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson has pledged $3,000,000,000 to fight climate change. read more
