You can save up to  $100 per year with an easy to install programmable thermostat.

In August, 2005, Toyota made a very important announcement. Essentially, they were giving hybrids the "green light". They said they wanted to add 10 hybrid models by early in the next decade. The company wants 25% of it's sales in the US to be hybrids by then.

Now Toyota makes or has announced 5 models, including models from their Lexus division. But what will the other models be? We don't know.

But it's fun to imagine!

A hybrid Tundra pickup would make lots of sense. Image getting close to 30 MPG in a pickup! A contractor who puts 20,000 miles per year on his truck might save about $2300 per year on gas.

As a point of comparison, the current regular Tundra is available with a 271 HP V8. You can get 4X2 or 4WD with a shorter bed. Double Cab, Access Cab, or Regular Cab variations are available.

Some of the more popular options are bed liners, a towing receiver hitch, DVD navigation system, Limited-slip rear differential, and cosmetic items. Tundras are very affordable; you can get a nice one for under $19,000 for a 4X2. A nicely equipped 4X4 is in the range of $25,000.
