Timberland has announced that the company is offering a grant of $3,000 toward the purchase of a new hybrid vehicle to it's employees.

Terry Kellogg of Timberland said, "we want to make this as attractive as possible to our employees, because we want to make a significant difference in the amount of carbon dioxide produced when our employees drive."

The company has about 6,000 employees. It's not the first company to offer an incentive to employees to buy a hybrid, but it's the largest so far.
