Tesla Motors brought their Roadster to the Department of Transportation in Washington DC for Earth Day. The car is all electric, so it makes no pollution.

The performance is spectacular:

0-60 MPH in about 4 seconds

about 1 cent per mile (for electricity)

Depending on how it's equipped, it's about $100,000.

 The real beauty of what Tesla accomplishes is likely to happen in a few years. They plan to bring out a 5 seat electric car, selling for about $50,000, around 2009 or 2010.
