This is a really enjoyable DVD. It's very relaxing to do the exercises and
something you'll probably stick with.

The teacher, Chunyi Lin, has developed a system that takes the most effective
movements from the thousands of years of qigong development. Some people that
have started doing this form of qigong have gotten a lot of relief from various
conditions in a short period of time.
The movements are very easy to do.
In fact, they can be done while sitting or lying down. So a person of any age
should find this easy to do.
If you're not familiar with
qigong, normally, the movements are done standing comfortably. You make gentle,
symmetrical movements with your arms. Typically, they movements might be done
3-5 repetitions per minute, so they're fairly slow. There's no strenuous
stretching. Unlike other forms of qigong, the movements on this DVD don't have
you attempt to hold a strenuous position for a long time. Just gentle movements.
The movements are designed to
focus on unblocking energy. Mr. Lin explains the movements in a way that's very
easy to understand.
This is the Level I DVD. There
are additional levels, audio CDs on meditation, and a book by Chunyi Lin
available. The Level I video seems sufficient to have a good routine that reaps
health benefits. But it's nice to know there's more available if you want it.
You can even travel to the
Minneapolis area and attend classes taught by Mr. Lin and others. Mr. Lin. is
