This camera turned out to be very disappointing.

The spec sheet looked good. A 6X optical zoom in a camera for around $150 is pretty hard to find. With 8 MP, it seems like a lot of performance.

But the quality of the photos it took just weren't very good.

Here's a photo with a fair amount of detail under decent indoor lighting. But look at the lack of clarity on the full size image. This doesn't give much to work with if you plan on cropping a small area of an image. It's likely to be very grainy.

 

 

This image was another test to see if a small part of an image could be cropped out with good results (the bird in the center). But look at the blue shadow on all the branches at full resolution. Another wasted shot.

 

It looks like this camera may try to do too much for the price point. Look for the upcoming review of a Canon with similar specs at a little higher price.
