Fossil Wrist Net Dick tracy Wrist Watch with MSN

Forget your cell phone again? Feel out of touch? Wouldn't it be cool to get personal messages (from your MSN Messenger list) from your friends, as well as news alert on your watch? You can with this watch from Fossil.

It's about 200 bucks and you'll need to subscribe to MSN Direct, which is about 10 bucks a month.  With it, you can get:

  • news
  • weather
  • sports
  • stocks
  • personal messages
  • appointment reminders
  • horoscopes
  • daily diversions
  • lottery numbers

How's it work, you ask? The technical explanation is it used FM subcarrier. This is radio bandwidth that was set up a long time ago to carry additional broadcast capabilities adjacent to each FM station's frequency. Remember MUSAC  elevator music? That used FM subcarrier.

Now this is all very cool. But the real reason to get it is when you're boss is going "blah, blah, blah, blah blah..." for the millionth time, just glance at your watch. Then shout "My God, there's beached whales off Cape Cod, I've gotta go help!" and dash out of the office.
