A notebook uses much less energy than a desktop computer and makes a great choice for the "Green Consumer".

This computer runs quite warm to the touch; uncomfortably so. Where your hands would touch the top of the computer below the keys are always warmer than you might like. This is definitely something to check out to see if it bothers you.

The compaq uses the new AMD Turion 64 chip. This type of chip might be better suited to a desktop where heat is much less of a concern.

It's got a 14" BrightView screen, 60 GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, built in WIFI capabilities, and a card reader for common media cards.

It's about $850.
