The US Botanic Garden has recently been renovated. It has a huge variety of plants from around the world. If you are a nature lover, you might want to spend several hours there; there's so much to see. It's also a great place to sit on a bench and read or relax. Chances are it won't be crowded on a weekday. The Botanic Garden is just about a third of a mile from the Federal Center metro station.
