The 2011 Asian Festival
was held at George Mason University the weekend of July 23 and 24,
2011. It was unbearably hot, but still, folks had fun.

Chevy showed the new
electric Volt. These are available now, and no longer have a waiting
list. Buyers may qualify for a $7,500 tax credit. The car is very
comfortable to sit in, and has very interesting displays.
If a driver doesn't drive more than
about 35 miles per day, he basically uses the car in electric mode.
Thus the extraordinarily high mpg number. Some folks have figured out
that it works out to about the equivalent of 70 cents per gallon of
gas, depending on what the cost of electricity is in a given part of
the country.

Everything you ever wanted to know about kimchi.
