Here's an evaluation of the Aerogarden from an environmental point of view.

There only seem to be two common, minor complaints about the product: a little humming noise, and that the lights are brighter than the person expected. Anyone who expected to be able to set one up in a room where someone would sleep seems to end up putting it in the kitchen. There are now 3, 6 and 7 pod Aerogardens. To make it a little more economical, a kit with a year's supply of seeds and nutrients is available.
