The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is on the
Blue and Yellow Metro lines. The station connects directly to the mall. This
mall is also connected to the Ritz Carlton.
This mall has a lot to it. It's very popular
with tourists during the summer. You'll often see lots of tour buses outside the
mall. So it can get very busy.
There's a parking lot which requires that you
pay. You get a ticket when you enter. You can pay your parking fee inside the
mall as you leave at machines located near most mall exits. If you exit through
an anchor store like Macy's or Nordstrom you may not see a parking ticket
machine. Generally, you can drive out of the garage faster this way. But if you
forget, there are lanes where you can pay your parking fee as you drive out.
a few highlights:
Apple Store and
Sony Style (right next to each other)
Dell has a kiosk there so you can try out a
Dell before ordering one through the mail.
Brookstone
For those who want cruelty free cosmetics,
there's MAC Cosmetics and the Body Shop.
Chevy Chase Bank (food court)
Like a lot of malls, there's no drugstore. But if you need a
newspaper or some aspirin, there's One Stop News on the lowest level (food
court)
If you haven't been to this mall in a long time, the movie theaters have closed.
The Bang and Olufsen store is closed. There's one at Tysons Corner Center and in
Bethesda.
Right across Hayes Street is a little mall with a Best Buy, Costco (outside the
mall on the south side), and Borders.
You can also make this a one stop outing for
other stuff you need. You can walk or make about a 2 minute drive to Harris
Teeter in the Pentagon Row. There's also an Eckerd Pharmacy. If you're hungry,
you might prefer the food there over the mall food. There's nice restaurants
including Thai, Vietnamese and Irish food, as well as Noodles & Company.
